A business lunch without the stiffness
A business lunch doesn’t have to mean white tablecloths and hushed conversation. Sometimes the best deals are made at a table where everyone feels relaxed, with good food and no sense that you have to follow protocol.
Ožujsko Pub Maksi is a gastro pub and restaurant in Borongaj, right next to Maksimir Stadium. A pub by name, a gastro pub at heart: the atmosphere is laid-back, but we take our kitchen seriously. It’s a good combination for lunch with a client, a partner or your team.
A menu for everyone at the table
At a business lunch, people rarely all eat the same thing. That’s why it matters that everyone can find something they like, and chef Tomislav Kralj‘s menu makes that easy:
- For those who want something hearty: a 250-gram beef steak with homemade fresh cheese and chive croquettes, lamb leg, boneless pork ribs in a soy and honey glaze, or duck with mlinci (traditional baked pasta sheets).
- For a lighter lunch: bowls, whether vegetarian, meat or fish with marinated tuna, and woks with chicken, prawns or beef steak.
- For fish lovers: sea bass fillet with a rice croquette, sautéed green beans and chard.
- For vegetarians: a vege bowl, vege wok, vege quesadilla and vege burger.
- To start: a soup, like beef soup with homemade gnocchi or cream of carrot soup with curry and ginger.

When time is short
If lunch has to fit into a break, from Tuesday to Friday from 11 am we cook daily dishes under the name Try Me Today Only. There’s a different dish every day, and you can check this week’s menu on the Try Me Today Only page.
A few tips for a business lunch
- Book a table in advance, especially if you’re coming as a larger group. Call us on +385 99 2303 711 or send an enquiry through our contact form.
- When the weather is nice, sit on the terrace. It’s spacious and pleasant for conversation.
- Parking is easy. It’s public, in zone three, and costs €2.30 for the whole day, so there’s no need to worry if the meeting runs long.
- Finish with coffee. From espresso to cappuccino, because a good deal deserves a good coffee.
From lunch to office party

Where we are and when we’re open
You’ll find us at Ulica Divka Budaka 18. From Tuesday to Thursday we’re open from 9 am to 11 pm, on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 am to midnight, and on Sundays from 9 am to 10 pm. We’re closed on Mondays.
