A match is better with company

You can watch a match at home on the sofa, but it’s not the same. There’s nobody to jump up with you when a goal goes in, nobody to argue about the referee with, and when the final whistle blows all you’re left with is an empty bowl of crisps. That’s why people have been coming to watch matches with us for more than ten years.

Ožujsko Pub Maksi is in Borongaj, right next to Maksimir Stadium, so sport here is more than just a picture on a screen. Sports broadcasts have been part of Maksi from the very beginning, and we’re especially popular with bigger groups who come to watch together.

A beer for the match

Football and beer go hand in hand, and that’s home turf for us. We serve a selection of beers from the Zagreb Brewery range, and for those who fancy something else there are wines and cocktails.

Food that lasts into extra time

You don’t have to watch the match with just a bag of snacks. Our à la carte menu features burgers, tacos, woks, soups and our signature dishes, and the kitchen is run by a team led by chef Tomislav Kralj. The menu follows the seasons and changes regularly, and you can check the current offer on our Menu page.

Come early and have dinner before kick-off, order as you go, or stay on after the match. There’s no need to move on somewhere else, and nobody will rush you out when the referee blows for full time.

Coming with the whole crew?

Seats fill up quickly for big matches. If you’re coming with a larger group and want to sit together, get in touch in advance on +385 99 2303 711 or through our contact form. If you’d like to see where you’ll be sitting first, take a look around with our virtual walk.

Before or after the match at Maksimir

If you’re heading to a match at the stadium, Maksi is right on your way. Drop by beforehand for a bite and a warm-up beer, or come back afterwards to talk through what happened on the pitch.

Parking is public, in zone three, and costs €2.30 for the whole day. On match days at the stadium, expect the neighbourhood to be busier than usual.

Opening hours

From Tuesday to Thursday we’re open from 9 am to 11 pm, on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 am to midnight, and on Sundays from 9 am to 10 pm. We’re closed on Mondays. You’ll find us at Ulica Divka Budaka 18.
