What makes a good after-work?

A good after-work doesn’t take much planning. You need a place nearby, a table that fits the whole group, something cold to drink and food that can double as dinner if the evening runs long. And it usually does.

That’s why people have been coming to us after work for more than ten years. Ožujsko Pub Maksi is in Borongaj, right next to Maksimir Stadium, so it’s easy to drop by on your way home from work, after a walk through Maksimir Park or before a match.

Drinks to start with

Most after-work evenings start with a beer, and that’s home turf for us. We serve a selection of beers from the Zagreb Brewery range, and for those who fancy something else there are wines and cocktails. Nobody has to drink the same thing as the rest of the table.

Food that lasts the whole evening

You don’t have to settle for a bowl of snacks here. Our à la carte menu features burgers, tacos, woks, soups and our signature dishes, and the kitchen is run by a team led by chef Tomislav Kralj. The food is easy to share, and when someone changes their mind and stays for dinner after all, there’s no need to move on somewhere else.

A small group or the whole office

Whether it’s two of you for a single drink or the whole team celebrating a finished project, there’s room. When it’s warm, most evenings move out onto the spacious terrace. And if there’s a match on, you’ll be watching it with us, since sports broadcasts have been part of Maksi from the very beginning.

How long can you stay?

From Tuesday to Thursday we’re open until 11 pm, on Fridays and Saturdays until midnight, and on Sundays until 10 pm. We’re closed on Mondays, so the after-work week at Maksi starts on Tuesday. Parking is public, in zone three, and costs €2.30 for the whole day.

Drop by after work
